Certified Labour Doula Services

• Emotional, physical and informational support throughout your childbirth experience
• 2 Prenatal visits to:
  • discuss your priorities and concerns
  • formulate a birth plan and identify your preferences
  • help mother and partner prepare for birth
  • discuss techniques to cope during labour
  • answer any questions
• Telephone and email support during pregnancy, pre-labour and postpartum
• Use of Concerning Childbirth lending library
• 24 hour on-call availability near your due date
• Continuous attendance during labour, birth and the initial postpartum period after your baby’s birth
• Assistance with initial breastfeeding
• One postpartum home visit to:
  • see how you are managing
  • offer breastfeeding support
  • provide information about support and resources available

Cost: $800.00*

Certified Postpartum Doula Services
and Certified Lactation Educator Services

• Provide care for the new mother and her infant(s)
• Practical assistance to enable you to rest, recoup after birth and care for baby including:
  • household tasks
  • laundry
  • food preparation
  • shopping and errands
  • care for siblings, pets
  • facilitate newborn care & feeding
• Access to Concerning Childbirth lending library
• Emotional, physical and informational support and encouragement:
  • help you manage baby care
  • offer breastfeeding support
  • answer any questions
  • suggest additional support and resources
• Flexible availability - time & care adapted to your needs

Cost: $30/ hour in periods of 4 hours or more*
      ;    $33/hour at night (6 hours or more)

Certified Childbirth Educator Services

Private in-home prenatal classes providing...

• Pregnancy and nutrition information:
  • discuss your concerns
  • help mother and partner prepare for birth
• Pre-labour and labour signs
• Relaxation techniques and comfort measures
• What to expect in the normal course of labour
• Medications and interventions associated with childbirth
• Postpartum needs of the newborn and mother
• Preparation for infant care
• Breastfeeding preparation
• Access to Concerning Childbirth lending library

Flexible availability - time arranged when you need it.

Cost: $180 for 6 hours*
